Transitional Housing Helps Homeless Immigrants and Refugee Claimants
Today, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Government of Canada celebrated the purchase and renovation of a transitional housing facility in Vancouver. Through federal homelessness funding of $635,999, the New Hope Community Services Society was able to purchase and renovate an existing house in Vancouver in order to provide transitional housing for homeless men, particularly immigrants and refugee claimants. The facility is named Welcome House and will offer six transitional beds.
